We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic educator for a specialist Performing Arts teacher role at St Joseph the Worker working Monday and Tuesday each week.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging music and performing arts lessons aligned with the curriculum.
Foster a love for music, drama, and movement in a safe and inclusive environment.
Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and special events.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate arts into broader learning experiences.
Encourage student creativity, confidence, and teamwork through performance-based activities.
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified teacher with experience or specialization in music and/or performing arts.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to play instruments and lead vocal and movement activities.
Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their artistic development.
A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful applicant must have a commitment to the teaching and learning philosophy of Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools, be able to work collaboratively in a professional learning team and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum in Performing Arts.
