Bayshore is growing and we are seeking Personal Caregivers who are looking for flexible hours. We offer casual home and community care jobs.

***(PSW’s) Personal Support Worker OR (HCA) Certificates required and those who have their own personal vehicle and drive a must. ****Required times Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 1pm-5pm ***

Available locations: Little Britain, Ontario.

Foreign trained Nurses with documentation to support, second year RPN Students, third year RN students are also eligible.

The Work You Will Do
As a Personal Caregiver, you will provide high-quality and compassionate care to your clients on a one-to-one basis in client's private home and provide exceptional customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide homemaking services including, but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry and general household management.
Provide companionship and/or accompany clients to activities and events in the community.
Provide personal care service according to directions on the care plan.
Ensures that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent.
Help with client specific activities of daily living (personal assistance tasks)
Perform specialized, client specific procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
Observe and document client conditions according to company standards, report unusual events or changes in the client’s condition to the immediate Supervisor or to the Office
Understands and implements infection prevention practices.

Job Qualification

Requirements:

Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service.
Able to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile considered as an asset
Able to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
