Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Attorney to join our Personal Injury Law Firm as we expand to new states. This is an opportunity to join a firm in a new market at the ground level with an already existing large and experienced office staff. Although not required, the ideal candidate will have some plaintiff background in personal injury law. This position offers a lucrative compensation package.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage pre-litigation and litigation matters from Intake to Settlement;
Responsible for the medical management, including reviewing all medical reports and medical recommendations by treating medical providers;
Assist and direct case managers with day-to-day management of medical treatment of pre-litigation matters;
Assist and direct investigation on all pre-litigation and potential litigation matters
Perform legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law during the pre-litigation process throughout the course of pre-litigation matters
Implement quality assurance measures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pre-litigation processes
Handle discovery, depositions, negotiations, and court appearances
Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents
Litigate cases in court and prepare for trial as needed
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely and effective case progress
Maintain detailed records and case documentation in case management software
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Washington
Strong knowledge of personal injury and *** abuse law.
Proven negotiation skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
