Overview
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) or experienced caregiver to assist a male patient with a high-level spinal cord injury (C4 quadriplegic). This is a part-time role focused on evenings and weekends, with some flexibility in scheduling.
This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent supplemental hours in a respectful, home-based care environment.
Responsibilities
Provide bowel and bladder care
Assist with peri-care and hygiene
Support mobility and transfers (bed/wheelchair)
Assist with medication routines
Help with dressing, grooming, and positioning
Monitor patient comfort and well-being
Provide companionship and attentive support
Qualifications
PSW certification or equivalent experience preferred
Experience with quadriplegic or high-needs patients strongly preferred
Knowledge of safe transfer techniques (lift experience an asset)
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Compassionate, patient, and respectful
Schedule
Evenings and weekends required
Flexible shifts (to be discussed)
