Job Title: PGT English Teacher (CBSE) – Female
Location: Jakkur Winmore Academy
Department: Senior Secondary Section
Reporting To: Principal / Academic Coordinator / HOD-English
Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English to teach senior secondary students (Grades 8-10) following the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for literature, language, and pedagogy.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with CBSE syllabus and standards.
Develop engaging lesson plans integrating grammar, prose, poetry, comprehension, and writing skills.
Prepare students for CBSE Board Exams, including guidance on sample papers, answer writing, and revision strategies.
Conduct assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and technology to enhance student learning.
Encourage critical thinking, literary analysis, and communication skills in students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Participate in department meetings, professional development, school events, and parent-teacher meetings.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and discipline.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong command over written and spoken English
Deep knowledge of CBSE English curriculum (Classes 8-10)
Ability to teach both Core and Elective English (if applicable)
Classroom management and student engagement skills
Excellent lesson planning, time management, and organizational skills
Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classrooms
Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s Degree in English (M.A. English) – Mandatory
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – Mandatory
CTET qualification (preferred but not mandatory)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in teaching English at the senior secondary level in a CBSE school
Female candidates only, as per institutional requirement
Work Schedule:
Full-time | Monday to Saturday (as per school norms)
Participation in special events, annual functions, and examination duties as required

Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹52,000.00 per month
