Job Title : PGT Math’s

Reporting Head : Principal

Purpose of Job

Subject teachers are responsible for maximizing the academic progress of the students they teach, working with colleagues to participate fully in the development of the department. Subject teachers promote a positive, purposeful, and professional working atmosphere that encourages cooperation and challenge, whilst valuing the contribution that individuals make to the success of the department.

Teaching and Learning Responsibilities

· Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and learning needs of students Innovate using 21st century skills and inter-disciplinary way of teaching concepts

· Teaching application of mathematical concepts

· Conducting subject and topic-based class activities for better learning of students

· Taking remedial and extra classes, prep and tutorial duties

· Correction and marking of Classwork/Homework assignment work regularly

· Evaluating and grading students based on assignments and examinations

· Setting question paper timely following the desired format

· Keeping abreast and updated with the changes in the curriculum

· Preparing students for subject-based competitions and events

· Preparing lesson plans & worksheets

· Organizing and actively participating in extracurricular activities of the school

· Preparing math’s lesson plans as per the grade levels.

· Explaining mathematical concepts in easy and understandable terms to the students.

· Using real-life examples to teach geometrical concepts.

Responsibilities to the Department and School

· Be respectful of the needs of colleagues and the department with regards to cooperation, collegiality, deadlines and team cohesion

· Participate positively in departmental meetings, follow policies and generally contributing to the
effective and efficient running of the department

· Promote professional dialogue, share ideas about teaching and learning and support other teachers in developing good practice and new approaches and initiatives

Other Responsibilities

· Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Department, Head of Faculty or members of the Senior Leadership Team and any duties that the Principal deems necessary for the effective operation of the school

Requirements

Required Qualification and Experience

· M.SC in Math’s with B.ED.

· Minimum four years of Experience as a PGT Math’s.

· Should have good communication Skills and should be subject matter expert in his subject

· Familiarity with the curriculum of CBSE

· Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child

· A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children

Salary Range Between : 30,000 to 40,000
