The Central Production (CP) pharmacist provides support to the Calgary zone, with the focus on narcotic distribution. Duties include: providing verification of all narcotics from receiving, supporting distribution, shipping and destruction. in accordance with Health Canada Regulations. The CP pharmacist supports operations as required in the Calgary zone, with a team player and collaborative approach.
Description:
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent experience within hospital pharmacy preferred (2-5 years). Experience with Epic as asset. Experience with Windows-based computer applications and database an asset. Previous project experience and committee work as asset.

Demonstrates computer literacy in drug information, word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making ability. Displays tact, courtesy, discretion, and respects confidentiality. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, and able to demonstrate effective service attitude. Able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
