Job Responsibilities:
• Dispensing Medications: Prepare and provide prescribed medications, ensuring correct dosage and instructions.
• Patient Counseling: Offer guidance on how to take medications, potential side effects, and safety precautions.
• Medication Safety: Check for possible drug interactions and ensure medications are safe for the patient’s condition.
• Medication Management: Monitor patient prescriptions for appropriateness and effectiveness, making recommendations if needed.
• Health Services: Sometimes provide vaccinations, health screenings, or wellness advice.
• Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, ensuring medications are stored properly and are within expiration dates.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all prescriptions and practices meet legal and safety standards.
Skills:
