Job Description: Pharmacy Aide

Key Responsibilities:
• Assistance with Medication Dispensing: Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Pharmacy Aides may be responsible for labeling and packaging medications under the supervision of licensed pharmacy staff.
• Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful customer service to patients and healthcare providers. Pharmacy Aides may assist with answering phones, processing prescriptions, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
• Inventory Maintenance: Assist with inventory management tasks, including stocking shelves, rotating stock, and organizing inventory items. Pharmacy Aides play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the pharmacy area, including restocking supplies, disposing of waste properly, and following infection control protocols. Pharmacy Aides must adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to pharmacy staff, including data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks as needed. Pharmacy Aides must maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
