Job Description
Seeking a highly motivated and passionate Physical Education Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program for students in grades K-12. The coach will be expected to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students can develop their physical skills and improve their overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum for students in grades K-12
Design lesson plans that are age-appropriate, challenging, and engaging for students of all levels
Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can participate and thrive
Teach fundamental movement skills, team sports, individual sports, and fitness activities
Incorporate technology and other innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to support student learning and well-being
Attend and supervise extracurricular activities, such as athletic teams and after-school programs
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
Perform other duties as assigned by the administration
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience teaching physical education to K12 students
Knowledge of current physical education standards, practices, and trends
Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a team
Experience working in a boarding school setting is a plus
