Job Description
Location: In students' homes (additional travel pay offered at $8 per home visit) and/or from your own private home studio in Calgary, Alberta.
Hours: Build your own schedule with 5 to 30 hours per week for September to June (teaching hours in July and August may be available). Holidays throughout the year.
Teachers: We are looking for teachers who share our excitement for fun, professional piano teaching. Professional development and supervision are offered to grow your knowledge and expertise.
Education: Minimum Grade 8 RCM piano certificate is required (or equivalent). Piano pedagogy certification and/or a diploma/degree in music is an asset and pay will reflect this.
Experience: Experience teaching piano, working with children and adolescents, or related experience is an asset.
Location: Please apply ONLY if currently living in the city of Calgary and surrounding area, or able to relocate. This position typically requires traveling to student's homes; access to one's own vehicle is usually necessary for teaching in students' homes.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one lessons to enhance students' understanding of piano techniques and music theory.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment for children, promoting their musical growth and confidence.
Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Collaborate with parents to discuss student development and address any concerns.
Prepare students for two recitals a year
