Trane Technologies in Newberry, SC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Plant Accountant to support our new PCU business and Oracle implementation. The Plant Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost management, and compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, and ERP systems, particularly Oracle.
Job Summary:
Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations
Support the analysis of key financial metrics, including production costs, variances, and profitability.
Help in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Support the analysis of production costs and variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Collaborate with the IT and finance teams to support the Oracle ERP system implementation.
Assist in data migration and system configuration to meet accounting and reporting requirements.
Provide support to plant personnel on Oracle system usage and best practices.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Work closely with plant management, production teams, and corporate finance to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Participate in cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
2 - 4 years’ experience in general accounting or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles)
High level of proficiency in MS Office products, Oracle or equivalent ERP/manufacturing application, OneStream, Exact Max, Dynamics, Tableau and Alteryx experience a plus

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 67,200-88,800
