Podcast Production Assistant (Freelance / Remote)

We’re looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy Podcast Production Assistant who thrives on details, clear communication, and supporting both clients and production teams. This freelance role is fully remote and blends behind-the-scenes structure with front-facing support, including live assistance during remote recordings.

What You’ll Do

Guest Management

Research and book engaging podcast guests
Coordinate scheduling and follow-up
Manage guest communication with professionalism and care
Production & Recording Support

Provide live tech/production support during remote recordings (troubleshooting, guiding guests through setup, ensuring smooth sessions)
Download and organize podcast recording files
Prepare audio/video files for editing and distribution
Coordinate with editors and the production team
Content & Admin

Create and schedule social media posts from podcast content
Manage podcast inbox, calendars, and production logs
Ensure systems and file organization are consistent and reliable
Who You Are

Organized & Structured: You love systems, checklists, and details.
Tech-Comfortable: Confident with tools like Canva, Dropbox, Descript, Trello, Riverside.fm, and Zoom.
Client-Facing Professional: Calm, clear, and supportive when communicating with guests and clients.
Proactive & Reliable: You take initiative, manage your time well, and follow tasks through to completion.
Creative Edge: Social media and light editing experience is a bonus.
Requirements

Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience with remote tech tools and troubleshooting
Social media content creation and scheduling (asset)
Audio or video editing skills (asset)
Position Details

Type: Independent Contractor (Freelance)
Location: Remote (must be available for scheduled recordings in EST time zone)
Hours: Part-time, flexible — with availability required during live recordings
