Qualifications
Considerable knowledge and experience in the principles and practices of health education, community health assessment and improvement planning, and community organization and engagement
Experience performing research and utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods for assessing data and programs
Experience with project management, development of goals and objectives, work planning, and coordination of activities and initiatives
Experience with grant management, grant writing, and grant activity reporting
Experience preparing and delivering media updates, informational materials, and presentations to a variety of audiences
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, to effectively manage interpersonal and interorganizational communication and coordination networks
Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products
Knowledge and experience creating public health marketing and communications campaigns
Experience with a variety of contemporary communications tools and strategies, including website, social media, and print media
Bilingual in Spanish and English

The Western Tidewater Health District services the City of Franklin, the City of Suffolk, Isle of Wight County, and Southampton County.
