Join our Operations Team in Sydney as Port Delivery Team Leader – Turnaround Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering seamless cruise turnaround operations at various ports in Australia. You will manage a team of direct reports to ensure all aspects of turnaround operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with cruise line standards and expectations. This role involves strong coordination with internal teams, suppliers, cruise line representatives, and port authorities to ensure successful guest disembarkation and embarkation processes. This role requires proactive coordination, real-time problem-solving, and travel to ensure smooth execution of turnaround services.

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is a specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world. You will be working closely with various cruise lines and their clients in their daily operations around Australia. This is a Sydney based role but you may be required to travel to some exciting destinations within the country.

This is a locally employed position. You must have the right to live and work in Australia before applying.

ABOUT YOU
High capacity to manage a team to deliver results.
The ability to use MS Office tools such as Excel, Teams, OneNote & Outlook to high standards.
Comfortable leading change and resilient to ambiguity or setbacks.
Must be available to work on weekends and/or holidays if required.
Solve problems independently and/or make suggestions how to improve ways of working and drive our digital culture.
Agility to juggle strategic priorities/projects whilst delivering day-to-day operational logistics.
A genuinely helpful, flexible, and professional personality.
Previous experience in travel/tourism and or cruise ships is advantageous.

ABOUT THE JOB
Lead, manage, and support a team of direct reports to ensure the successful execution of turnaround operations at the port.
Oversee the planning and real-time delivery of turnaround services, ensuring all operational elements are coordinated and executed on time.
Arrange staffing and transportation resources effectively to match the scale and needs of each turnaround operation.
Maintain ongoing communication with cruise ship personnel, internal departments, and key external stakeholders including port agents, port authorities, and suppliers.
Collaborate closely with the Port Delivery Team Manager to ensure commercial and operational objectives are supported.
Act as the on-site escalation point for operational issues, resolving incidents quickly to maintain a smooth guest experience.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security protocols as required by local regulations and cruise line standards.
Travel to different port locations across Australia as needed to support operations.
