Full–time
Position: Postgre SQL Database Administrator
• Responsible for management of database systems, including implementing relevant security standards and ensure high availability for the databases.
• Installation of various database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, among others, running on various operating systems like AIX, Linux and Windows.
• Design, create and maintain databases based on business requirements.
• Perform upgrade of database software and apply patches as needed.
• Implement security policies to ensure integrity and accuracy of the database.
• Prepare, test and perform backup and recovery plan in the event of a disaster.
• Perform regular database maintenance such as backup, statistics gathering and analysis and database reorganization.
• Replicate and migrate databases across different environments as required.
• Monitor and improve database performance and capacity, and plan for future business expansion.
• Provide assistance to application developers on SQL tuning and other database-related issues.
• Liaise with vendors on purchase, licensing and resolution of critical issues and bugs related to database.
• Provide on-call databases support as needed.
• Ensure maximum availability of all databases.

Profile
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 7+ years of experience required
• MS SQL Database Server administration and installation
• POSTGRES DB Administration and installation
• Unix shell scripting and Basic Unix and Windows system administration
