Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production databases.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Database performance tuning
• Backup and recovery
• Role and access management
• Database maintenance and upgrades
What We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent shell and SQL skills, knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and database maintenance, and experience with PostgreSQL database versions 10 and above.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production databases. This includes:
• Monitoring data distribution and identifying data skew
• Managing segments and recovering segments during crashes
• Performing POCs on various restore methodologies
• Managing database and client host connectivity using pg_hba.conf
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Excellent shell and SQL skills for DBA tasks automation
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and database maintenance
• Experience with PostgreSQL database versions 10 and above
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Experience with database upgrades, backups, and recoveries
