Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis for a 3-6 months project. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic company and contribute to developing robust database structures and features. There is a possibility for a full-time position based on your performance during the project.
WhiteChalk is a consulting agency in Gurgaon. This role requires you to work in a hybrid setting(working 3 days from the office and 2 days from your place).
Location: Cannought Place, New Delhi
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a PostgreSQL Database Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
• Developing database structures and features according to project requirements.
• Ensuring data security by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls.
• Writing SQL statements and generating reports to extract and analyze data.
• Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics to optimize database performance.
• Restoring lost data and implementing data backup strategies.
• Documenting processes and complying with best practices in database management.
• Monitoring database performance and implementing improvements to enhance technology.
• Updating systems when necessary to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
• Strong experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
• Proficiency in writing SQL statements and generating reports.
• Solid understanding of data security and restoration procedures.
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing database performance.
• Familiarity with data backup and recovery strategies.

Work Arrangement
The selected candidate will be required to work from office in Delhi for 3 days a week and will have the flexibility to work from home for the remaining 2 days.
Travel rembursment will be provided.
