Must-Have
Monitoring data distribution to identify data skew, monitor vacuum and analyse needed on objects Resource queue design for multiple workload prioritizing Managing segments and recovering segments during segment crash Managing and restoring backup using BART/ equivalent tools Performing POCs on various restore methodologies Managing database and client host connectivity using pg_hba.conf Assisting application developer teams in design and performance tuning Providing database support in day to day operation Establishing and advising users on database-specific best practices Developing and enhancing database utilities
Minimum Educational and Technical Qualification: Possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. You have at least 4 years of experience within a Database Administrator role with hands-on experience with postgresql database V10+ Knowledge in postgresql architecture and database maintenance Excellent shell and SQL skill for DBA tasks automation is required Familiar with Postgresql in handling large datasets
Good performance and troubleshooting skill At least 4 years of experience within a Database Administrator role with hands-on experience in database upgrades, backup recovery etc., Excellent shell and SQL skill for DBA tasks automation is required

Skills on NOSQL technologies, Apache Spark, Impala, Solr
