Job Description
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in human‑rated space power systems and has a proven track record of architecting end‑to‑end EPS solutions, including make‑or‑buy decisions, vendor engagement, and internal system development. This role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), including avionics, reliability, mechanical, flight software, and operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required); advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience in space power systems engineering
• Extensive experience in human‑rated electrical power systems (preferred over robotic or communications satellite systems)
• Demonstrated experience architecting complex EPS solutions at the system level
• Proven ability to lead or heavily influence make‑or‑buy decisions and vendor evaluations
• Experience supporting PDR, CDR, and other major aerospace design reviews
• Strong understanding of fault tolerance, reliability engineering, and system‑level safety considerations
• Experience working within IPT structures and collaborating with SMEs across avionics, mechanical, reliability, and software disciplines
• Familiarity with SPICE modeling tools and Altium for electrical design workflows
• Ability to work effectively with flight software teams and operations groups responsible for ground‑controlled EPS functions (power switching, FDIR, etc.)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
