Our client, a highly regarded corporate communications agency serving clients across finance, technology, and professional services, is seeking a detail-oriented PR Coordinator to provide core administrative support to its NYC-based team.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$25/hr - $30/hour

Position Overview

The PR Coordinator will provide administrative support to account teams by coordinating schedules, organizing communications materials, and assisting in the execution of public relations initiatives. This role will focus on managing media lists, tracking coverage, maintaining organized records, and supporting the preparation and distribution of client deliverables. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with account leads, the PR Coordinator will help ensure efficient day-to-day operations, timely follow-ups, and seamless client service support.

Responsibilities Of The PR Coordinator
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative operations, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining organized digital files and records across marketing or PR campaigns.
• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns or public relations initiatives, including preparing materials, tracking timelines, and supporting cross-functional team communication.
• Monitor and compile performance metrics (social media, email campaigns, press coverage), creating reports and summaries to support data-driven decision-making.
• Draft and edit marketing or PR content such as social media posts, press releases, internal communications, and client-facing materials.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and media partners, ensuring timely communication, coordination of deliverables, and adherence to project deadlines.

Required Experience/Skill for the PR Coordinator:
• 1+ year of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism (internships welcomed).
• Strong writing and editing skills with a business-focused voice.
• Familiarity with PR tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, or Meltwater.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communication style and professional presence in client interactions.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the PR Coordinator:
• Additional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Professional demeanor suited for a client-facing environment.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
