About the role
Amtan Medical is seeking highly skilled and passionate Practice Nurses (RN/EN) to join our growing team across Pimpama, Ormeau & Pacific Pines. This role is ideal for proactive general practice nurses who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing clinical and procedural support to GPs in a busy primary care setting.
What you'll be doing
Pre-employment medicals including spirometry and drug & ******* testing
Conduct CCMP's, health assessments & care plans
Immunisations (including childhood & adult schedules)
Wound care & procedure support
Assisting with skin procedures & minor surgeries
ECG's, ear syringing and other clinical procedures
Manage recalls, reminders, and chronic disease management
Infection control and cold chain management
Contribute to quality improvements and accreditation processes
Coordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, care of medical instruments and equipment, and general maintenance.
What we're looking for
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) with AHPRA
Demonstrated experience in a general practice, preferably within the last 2 years
Minimum of one-year general practice experience required
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise with patients and their families
A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and a passion for the nursing profession
Proficiency in using Best Practice & Hot Doc software
Must have unrestricted Australian work rights
