The Pre‑Sales Consultant partners closely with the sales team to bridge clients’ needs with your company’s solutions. Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Sales to understand customer requirements and map them to product capabilities.
• Deliver live product demonstrations, tailored presentations, and proof‑of‑concept (POC) sessions.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs—create technical responses, solution specs, commercial input, and follow ups.
• Develop technical proposals, solution designs, architecture diagrams, business workflows, and quote documents.
• Act as liaison between client needs and product/engineering teams, relaying feedback and shaping product roadmap.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to help position solutions effectively.
• Maintain deep product knowledge; update sales collateral and training materials accordingly.
• Prepare activity reports, track opportunities in CRM, and assist with transitions to implementation teams.
• Represent the company at webinars, trade shows, and conferences as needed.
Typical Day-to-Day
• Discovery workshops with prospects to clarify technical and business requirements
• Building and presenting demo environments and walkthroughs
• Drafting POC documentation, technical solutions, and proposal drafts
• Reviewing competitors’ strengths, and fine‑tuning positioning
• Coaching junior presales colleagues on demos and solution design
• Collaborating with Sales, Product, Delivery teams, and attending strategy sessions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years experience in pre‑sales, solutions consulting, sales engineering, or technical sales.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to present complex information clearly to non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable with client-facing roles.
• Solid analytical/problem‑solving skills, business process understanding, and attention to detail.
• Experience with CRM tools and RFP processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel and attend events, if required.
