Preschool Assistant Teacher - Mandarin

At Tessa International School, we offer three language tracks: Spanish, French, and Mandarin, and are accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) and the French Ministry of Education. We are also recognized as a NAIS model school.
We are looking for a caring Preschool Mandarin Assistant Teacher for one of our classes in the Mandarin track for the 2025-2026 School Year.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with classroom and behavior management
Keeps the classroom and the school clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
Assists Lead Teacher in a range of tasks as needed
Assists with pastoral care
Supervises outdoor play and any field trips
Participates in meetings and trainings as needed
May perform diaper changing, feeding and soothing of very young children depending on the class
Assists in other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Excellent command of Mandarin & English
3 years working experience in school
Degree in early childhood education, child development or similar discipline preferred
Experience with the IB PYP is preferable, but not required
Strong communication skills, a sense of humor, humility, and empathy
Team-player
Commitment to diversity and inclusion
Previous experience at an international school and/or cultural fluency derived from international experience is a plus
Schedule
8 hours Monday to Friday
Possibility for part-time positions and to work extra hours
