Primary objective
As part of the School Leadership Team, provide innovative educational leadership and management for the school in the
development and delivery of educational programs for students.
Context statement
Larrakeyah Primary is an Independent Public School (IPS), catering for approximately 500 students from Preschool to Year 6.
The school is committed to high standards, high expectations and high achievement. The school motto is “Pathways To
Excellence”. As an IPS, the school focusses on innovative practices, strong partnerships, enhanced learning opportunities for
students, evidenced-based research, 21st century learning and high quality teaching. The school has embedded Visible

committed to further developing their knowledge and teaching skills, implementing innovative programs and practices to

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Work within an early childhood team to create a high quality preschool learning environment aligned to the National
Quality Framework.
2. Undertake an appropriate teaching load.
3. Participate in the formulation and review of policies, procedures and quality improvement planning for Preschool.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Hold, or be working towards, an ACECQA approved early childhood qualification.
2. Registration with the NT Teachers Registration Board and a current Working with children clearance notice (Ochre
Card).
3. Ability to work collaboratively to implement a high-quality Preschool program.
4. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, students and wider community and to interact effectively with
people from diverse cultures.
5. Ability to teach in a preschool context, with current working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, the Early
Years Learning Framework, and the NT Early Years Curriculum Guide: Preschool.
