Qualifications
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from a recognized institution
Associates degree in :
Child Development or Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Or a related field (as determined by the agency) with equivalent coursework (to a major relating to ECE and experience teaching preschool children) as follows :
3 qualified classes in ECE with 3 years experience teaching preschool children
4 qualified classes in ECE with 2 years experience teaching preschool children
5 qualified classes in ECE with 1 years experience teaching preschool children
Official or unofficial transcript which shows the award or confer date of the degree must be attached to the employment application
Experience working with preschool children in an Early Childhood Education setting or preschool labwork leading to an ECE degree from a recognized institution
Maintains current inter-rater reliability in Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG)
Thorough knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to handle / re-direct child challenging behaviors
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision
Must be able to travel to and from home visits (2x / year) in private vehicle; must provide a copy of state-required proof of insurance every six months
Ability to write and speak the English language in a proficient and professional manner to meet requirements of the job
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents, co-workers, community groups, and other related agencies and people
$23.50 / hour - BA in ECE or related field

The pay structure for classroom staff is set up similar to a school district's with annualized paychecks spread out through the year in bi-weekly pay periods, thus allowing our staff to receive paychecks even when they are off during the summer months

• 4 qualified classes in ECE with 2 years experience teaching preschool children
• 5 qualified classes in ECE with 1 years experience teaching preschool children

Experience working with preschool children in an Early Childhood Education setting or preschool labwork leading to an ECE degree from a recognized institution.

B ilingual Spanish-speaking is desirable and may be required depending on location.
