Summary
We're hiring Early Childcare Teachers and Assistant Teachers for Preschool/Toddler classes at Yellow Brick Road Preschool in Phoenix Downtown area. Yellow Brick Road Preschool in Phoenix Downtown area is seeking full time or part-time candidates for Lead teachers and Teachers positions that are passionate and motivated about the growth and development of children. Our Teachers are responsible for the safety, education, care, comfort and developmental growth of each student in their classroom. Teachers are responsible for the daily activities that keep our students active and engaged. Creating and following lesson plans, curriculum and interacting with students are essential responsibilities of this position. You must enjoy working with children of all ages.
Duties
• Help create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, classroom schedule and educational activities
• Help organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such
• Observe and evaluate children's performances, behavior, social development, and physical health
• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws and administrative regulations
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence
• Must come to work on scheduled time
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
Requirements
• Minimum of six months experience in a Preschool/Childcare Center setting as a Teacher is required for teacher position. No experience required for assistant teacher positions.
• High School Diploma is required.
• A CDA or a course work or degree in early childhood education or child development is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to create a positive environment conductive to learning.
• Commitment to culture and philosophy of the school with passion for quality early childhood education
• Clear criminal history and background check
• Fingerprint clearance is required.
• Clear TB skin test - Valid CPR and First-Aid
• Food Handler Card
• Must be at least 18 years of age
