Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary English Teacher to join our team at RBK Educational Institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate English language lessons to primary school students.
Key Responsibilities
• Curriculum Planning and Instruction:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive, structured, and engaging English curriculum for primary students, covering key areas such as reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and comprehension, aligned with IGCSE learning objectives.
• Promote literacy by providing reading instruction, selecting age-appropriate books, and using strategies to build students' vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills.
• Teach students the fundamentals of writing, including sentence structure, punctuation, grammar, and composition. Foster creativity and expression through writing assignments such as essays, stories, and reports.
• Incorporate activities that develop students' speaking and listening skills, including class discussions, presentations, debates, and group work to enhance communication and social interaction.
• Differentiated Instruction:
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to cater to the varied learning styles and abilities of students, including those who may need extra support or advanced challenges.
• Assessment and Feedback:
• Regularly assess student progress using a variety of methods (e.g., quizzes, assignments, oral presentations, projects). Provide constructive and timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress and areas for improvement.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a positive, respectful, and well-organized classroom environment where students feel safe to express themselves. Establish clear expectations for behavior, learning, and participation.
• Parental Communication:
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns. Hold parent-teacher meetings to discuss academic development and strategies for support.
• Professional Development:
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in teaching English, literacy education, and the IGCSE curriculum.
• Collaborative Teaching:
• Work closely with colleagues across the curriculum to integrate English instruction with other subject areas, ensuring that English is used across subjects in meaningful ways.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 years of experience teaching English at the primary level (preferably in an international or IGCSE school).
• In-depth knowledge of English language and literature teaching methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the IGCSE curriculum and ability to prepare students for future academic years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of various learning levels and abilities.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
