About the role
Reporting to the Campus Principal, the Primary Lead Teacher is responsible for the leadership and coordination of teaching and learning across the primary school.
Lead the delivery of a high-quality primary curriculum aligned with regulatory requirements
Lead an established high performing team
Drive the implementation of the Learning to Learn Framework
Oversee planning, assessment, and consistent teaching standards across the primary team
Support and guide teachers to improve practice and student achievement
Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions
Contribute to a cohesive ‘all through’ school environment
This role includes classroom teaching responsibilities alongside leadership duties.
About you
A valid practicing certificate and current registration with the NZ teaching council
Strong primary teaching practice and NZ curriculum knowledge
The ability to support and influence others to improve outcomes
Effective communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence using digital learning tools
Eligibility to work in NZ
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
