Contract: Full-time – Academic year 2025/26

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified SEND Teacher (QTS) to join our vibrant primary team at a Special School in Liverpool, L9. The school caters to primary-aged children with a diverse range of needs, including ASD, sensory, communication, and behavioural needs. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education tailored to the individual requirements of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a bespoke curriculum to meet the specific needs of children with ASD, sensory issues, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.

Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each child.

Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to education and care.

Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods and resources accordingly.

Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and external agencies involved in the care and support of pupils.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, with experience or a strong interest in working with SEND children.

Understanding of and ability to implement strategies to support children with ASD, sensory processing difficulties, and complex communication needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.

Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of pupils in a Special School setting.
