Position: Primary Grade Teacher (Grade 1)
Location: Winmore Academy, Jakkur, Bengaluru
Department: Academics
Reports To: Head of Primary School
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing educator to teach Grade 1 students at Winmore Academy, Jakkur. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood education, a passion for shaping young minds, and the ability to create a warm, safe, and enriching classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons for Grade 1 students across subjects.
Maintain a nurturing and structured classroom environment that promotes holistic learning and social-emotional growth.
Develop and implement lesson plans in line with CBSE curriculum and Winmore Academy standards.
Assess and evaluate students’ academic progress, providing constructive feedback and personalized support.
Incorporate interactive learning methods, hands-on activities, and technology to create a dynamic learning experience.
Maintain regular communication with parents about students’ academic and behavioral progress.
Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages students to explore, ask questions, and build confidence.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant discipline.
Experience: 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level, preferably Grade 1.
Strong understanding of early childhood education practices and CBSE curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and create a positive learning space.
Proficiency in digital teaching tools and platforms is a plus.
Key Skills and Attributes
Patience, warmth, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Strong planning and organizational abilities.
Effective communication with students, colleagues, and parents.
Adaptability, creativity, and a collaborative mindset.
