Primary Teaching Assistant

Job description
Milk Education are working with an Primary school in Staines who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work across KS1 and KS2 class. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is to support both students and the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom. You must be confident to support the KS1 and KS2 children working on a one to one basis and in a group capacity as and when required to do so.

The hours of work are 08:30am- 16:00pm and the hours will be Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. This role is to start after ASAP and will be a long-term role .

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting the class teacher with anything they need support with including keeping all children on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the classroom is kept clean and tidy each day.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Supporting with Learning and Developing
• Working on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Encouraging, Supporting and De-escalating students
• Being involved across the curriculum, including outdoor learning, PE and Core subjects
