As an SAP Architect at Amazon, you will design and implement enterprise-scale SAP solutions. You will lead technical strategy development, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient SAP systems that enable Amazon's continued growth and innovation.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and implement enterprise-scale SAP architecture solutions that align with Amazon's business objectives and technical standards
• Lead technical strategy development for SAP implementations, upgrades, and integrations across multiple business units
• Make critical architectural decisions that balance business requirements, technical constraints, performance, scalability, and cost
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions
• Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers, raising the technical bar across the organization
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging SAP technologies and recommending adoption strategies
• Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and implementation roadmaps
• Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance to resolve complex technical challenges
• Establish governance processes to ensure architectural compliance and quality
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud technology
• 10+ years of experience in SAP implementation, including 5+ years in architectural roles
• Deep expertise in multiple SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, IBP, Ariba)
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale SAP solutions in enterprise environments
• Proven track record of leading complex SAP projects from conception through implementation
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies (e.g., CPI, PO, API Management)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and architecting SAP solutions on AWS
• Experience in at least one of these technology areas: DevOps, serverless, software development and design, CI/CD, AI/ML, Storage, Networking or Databases
• Experience with SAP HANA database administration and optimization.
• SAP certifications in relevant areas (e.g., S/4HANA, BTP, Integration)
• Strong understanding of data migration strategies and tools
