About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Solution Architect to join our Digital Health team and lead the end-to-end development of digital health solutions that support clinical workflows, enable innovative service delivery, and ensure CAHS continues to deliver safe, reliable and contemporary care.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex initiatives aligned with CAHS strategic directives and statewide healthcare strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Principal Enterprise Architect and working independently or together with multidisciplinary teams (clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, leaders and vendors), you will plan, design and implement technical solutions that are sustainable, fit-for-purpose, scalable, secure, and adhere to enterprise architecture standards.

Your ability to engage with stakeholders across business and technical domains to translate strategic and operational needs into technical solutions will be key to success in this role.

Current programs include:

The Medical Imaging Replacement and Equipment Program(renewal, replacement and decommissioning of digital health technology and clinical equipment), and
Building completion and commissioning of the WA Children’s Hospice (Sandcastles - Boodja Mia).
Transformation of our Critical Health ICT Infrastructure through a modern Software-Defined network architecture to enhance reliability, performance and resilience across clinical services.
Leading our cloud transformation into a secure Azure environment.
About You

If you have senior experience in Solution Architecture together with an understanding of ICT best practice, lifecycle management, cybersecurity, networks, and enterprise platforms, we encourage you to apply.

Certification or experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, Archimate, AWS, Azure, ITIL, SABSA or Open CA is highly desirable.

Experience within a healthcare or similarly complex environment will be well regarded.

The Digital Health team at the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is dedicated to delivering streamlined, efficient, and high-quality care to young people and their families, both now and in the future and in alignment with Statewide governance, CAHS’ strategic plan, and our commitment to clinically led, person-centred care.

Our team design and implement technology solutions and provide support to clinical and administrative end users across various digital systems, platforms and infrastructure including patient management systems, scheduling software, virtual and telehealth services, mobile health applications, imaging software, laboratory, and pharmacy management systems.

Through engaging with our young patients, workforce consumers, carers, clinicians, and the health service system, we ensure that our patients and their families are active partners in continuous service improvement.
