Job Details:
• Hours: Flexible PRN schedule with availability for 2 days per week
• Locations: Various sites including Aldermanic offices, police districts, libraries, and community agencies
• Campaign Dates: September 30 – December 13, 2026
• CDPH plans to run 5-10 clinics per week
• Up to 300 nursing hours available throughout the campaign
Responsibilities:
• Assess patients' health and medical history before vaccine administration
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment in line with CDPH and OSHA guidelines
• Administer flu and COVID-1+ vaccines following CDPH protocols
• Adhere to medical standing orders for vaccine administration and emergency procedures
• Document immunizations using CDPH’s electronic vaccine management system (VCMS)
• Work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications:
• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• At least 2 years of experience in ambulatory care nursing or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, community-based environment
