As a Procurement Advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of driving commercial outcomes, partnering with project teams and suppliers to ensure the right materials and services are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

We are seeking a Procurement Advisor (6-month contract) to support the delivery of major water infrastructure projects within our Energy & Utilities -Water Services business.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Advisor, this role plays a key part in delivering end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities across a complex, project-based environment. You will work closely with project teams, commercial stakeholders, and regional procurement hubs to develop procurement strategies, support Target Outturn Cost (TOC) development, and ensure the timely delivery of materials and services to site.
This role is critical in ensuring procurement activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in line with project timelines ultimately supporting the successful delivery of essential water infrastructure.
What you’ll do
Support the development and execution of procurement strategies, RFQs/RFPs, and subcontractor engagement
Manage sourcing activities, including expediting materials and coordinating supply to meet project schedules
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement hubs to plan and deliver procurement requirements
Lead or support commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
Identify and manage procurement risks and opportunities, contributing to project cost, schedule, and performance outcomes

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a commercially astute and proactive procurement professional who thrives in a complex project environment and enjoys working collaboratively across teams.
5+ years’ experience in procurement within infrastructure, utilities, or major capital projects (Tier 1 preferred)
Strong commercial acumen with experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
Understanding of Australian construction contracts and procurement practices
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across cross-functional teams
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
