Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Expert to join our team at Papa Don't Preach. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing our vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high-quality products.
About the Role
This is a challenging role that requires strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. You will work closely with our design and production teams to understand their material requirements and collaborate with vendors to ensure they meet our standards.
You will also be responsible for monitoring vendor performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing processes to optimize our supply chain. If you have experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management in the fashion industry, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
• Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and quality control
• Work closely with design and production teams to understand material requirements and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries
• Monitor vendor performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement processes to optimize our supply chain
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and company standards
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management in the fashion industry
• Proven experience working with textile vendors, fabric suppliers, and other fashion-related vendors in the Indian market
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze and evaluate vendor performance based on KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, cost, etc.)
Preferred Skills
• In-depth knowledge of Indian textiles, fabrics, embellishments, and production techniques
• Familiarity with the Indian fashion industry, including trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics
• Knowledge of contract law and compliance regulations in India
