Depending on the selected applicant's location, this position can be filled in Anchorage, Juneau, or Fairbanks. Salary Information is below:

Fairbanks: $3,028.50 / Biweekly

Juneau: $3,087.00 / Biweekly

Anchorage: $2,+40.00 / Biweekly

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Procurement Specialist 4 with the DOT&PF Commissioner's Office, you will oversee construction and professional services contracting and procurement activities, exercising substantial authority and independent judgment. Your primary responsibilities include developing statewide standards and policies for procurement, assist the Chief Contracts Officer with processing appeals on construction and lease protests, and providing guidance and training to DOT&PF staff and delegated agencies. You will prepare contract specifications, consult on procurement issues, and ensure compliance with Alaska statutes and federal regulations. Additionally, you will manage special procurement requests, evaluate regional contract administration, and contribute to legislative reports and recommendations. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing procurement processes and minimizing liability exposure for the department.
