About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join the care team for a female participant living with her elderly parents. The participant requires high-level personal care due to an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). This role is ideal for someone with a nursing background or extensive experience in high care environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high personal care support including PEG feeding (with family assistance if needed).
Assist with safe hoist transfers (training provided by current team).
Maintain awareness of pressure area care and assist with repositioning.
Support general domestic tasks (secondary to personal care).
Communicate clearly and consistently regarding availability to support continuity of care.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Female staff only (client preference)
✅ Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Nursing, or similar qualification (highly preferred)
✅ Demonstrated experience in:
PEG feeding
Hoist transfers
Pressure care management
✅ Excellent communication and reliability
✅ Positive, proactive attitude with a strong person-centred focus
✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check and all mandatory training (or willingness to obtain)
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
Minimum 6 months experience in mental health, autism, or disability support
Willing to assist with personal care & domestic tasks
Required or willing to obtain:
Working With Children Check
National Police Check
First Aid & CPR
Strong communication, patience, and a positive attitude

Pay: $32.56 – $38.00 per hour
