Job Overview: You will be the driving force behind our product design evolution, ensuring we continue to deliver cutting-edge solutions across all gender categories and performance needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing and production, to scout, validate, and develop new platforms in construction techniques, and other areas that shape the future of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Innovation Leadership:
• Lead the design and development of new products, with a strong focus on innovation and performance.
• Drive the exploration and integration of new materials, technologies, and design methodologies to enhance product offerings.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all products align with our brand ethos and exceed customer expectations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner closely with Sourcing, RM Development, and other teams to scout and validate new construction technologies, dye techniques, and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure that product designs resonate with our customers on a sensory and emotional level.
• Gender and Category Solutions:
• Develop innovative product solutions that address the needs of all genders across various performance categories.
• Ensure that designs are inclusive, functional, and aligned with the latest trends and consumer insights.
• Material and Technology Development:
• Experiment with and implement advanced dye techniques, sustainable practices, and innovative manufacturing processes.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire the design team to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages experimentation and the sharing of ideas.
• Market Research and Trend Analysis:
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
• Conduct market research and consumer analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, product design, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development within the apparel industry, preferably with a focus on performance and innovation.
• Proven track record of leading product innovation and delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of materials science, yarns, construction technologies, and sustainability practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
• Passion for innovation, with a deep understanding of consumer needs and trends in the performance apparel market.
• Experience with design software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design software, is a plus.
