The IZOT product line includes BMC’s Intelligent Z Optimization & Transformation products, which help the world’s largest companies to monitor and manage their mainframe systems. The modernization of mainframe is the beating heart of our product line, and we achieve this goal by developing products that improve the developer experience, the mainframe integration, the speed of application development, the quality of the code and the applications’ security, while reducing operational costs and risks. We acquired several companies along the way, and we continue to grow, innovate, and perfect our solutions on an ongoing basis.
The IZOT automation team provides support to all BMC products to implement and manage CICD pipeline for deployment. In conjunction with automation BMC is looking for product developer who could support in building tools/utilities/automation. In this role you will be responsible to build tools / utilities as per product team / management requirement. You will also be responsible to maintain tools/utilities/automation to minimize disruption to services.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
• Follow BMC procedures and documentation required for error-free execution of tools/utilities function.
• Able to recognize and resolve critical operational problems.
• Notify appropriate personnel for unsuccessful completion of jobs or tasks, based on error messages and/or documentation.
• Report and document any observed deviations from standard performance to product team immediately to ensure effective resolution
• Able to remain calm, cordial, and effective during the resolution of time-critical interruptions/difficulties/failures.
• Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies as required for a successful project delivery.
• Provide good teamwork by expressing a collaborative attitude and sharing technical knowledge.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building and maintaining tools/utilities using Java/Python.
• Strong experience in Java/Python Script/Java Script/NodeJS
• Elastic search, Kibana, Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure etc.…)
• Experience working in an agile development environment and tools is required.
• Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Focus on customer satisfaction with the ability to provide problem resolution in a timely manner.
• Experience in analyzing issues and carrying out root cause analysis.
• Experienced in bug fixing and testing the fixes.
• You have knowledge of object-oriented software development and high-performance code characteristics and of version control systems like Git and bitbucket.
• You have strong diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
• Capabilities to resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
