Responsibilities
Day Shift hours are 7:00am – 5:40pm
During training you work 5 shifts that are 8 hours a day for up to 2 weeks
Produce components by assembling parts & subassemblies
Read & decipher schematics, blueprints, & assembly instructions
Position parts & subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts & subassemblies
Verify adequate materials & supplies are available to complete operations
Adjust machine for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
Spend up to 10 hours a day in a stationary position on the ergonomically enhanced BMW assembly line
Clean & maintain work area & equipment including tools
Conduct quality control checks periodically & maintain quality standards
Must be able to reach overhead as necessary to perform job functions
