Summary
This position contributes to Reserve Kitchen’s success by performing a variety of duties assisting our Bakers and Lead Bakers with daily production lists and tasks.
This position assists the Bakers and Lead Bakers in production planning and execution while ensuring compliance with quality and sanitation requirements.
Partner must model and act in accordance with Starbucks principles and company policies.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Works under supervision while preparing designated bakery items per established recipes
Supports daily production lists and maintains Reserve and Starbucks Gold Standard
Receives ingredients and other supplies from main kitchen and/or pantry as required for daily operations.
Cuts and weighs dough into uniform portions with knife or divider, molds dough into loaves or other shapes, and places in pans; proofs dough
Shapes dough either by hand or by using dough rollers
Scaling recipes for production; familiar with using gram/kilogram scales and units of measure
Maintains lot tracking sheets and HACCP temp logs as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned by their leader in support of the kitchen
We would love to hear from people with:
1+ years baking in a professional kitchen – commercial kitchen a plus (required)
Current Health Code Certification (as per State and Local DOH requirements) (preferred)
Basic Qualifications
Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 35lbs on a consistent basis and up to 55lbs occasionally
Ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy
Attention to Detail
Passion for learning culinary arts
Ability to work quickly and efficiently while executing at a high level
Competent knife skills
Data entry; Basic working knowledge of computers
Basic Math and English skills
