Job Title: Production- Racker/Helper
Department: Production
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
GENERAL:
This production support role will assist Shift Supervisor and furnace operators with racking, material handling, loading/unloading furnaces, facility housekeeping as well as other duties, as needed.
Job qualifications:
• Education – High school education or equivalent preferred but NOT REQUIRED
• Experience in the heat treat industry as furnace operator and/or general production assistant but not mandatory
• Working knowledge of furnace equipment and production terminology preferred but not required
• Demonstrate the ability to operate Company fork truck effectively and safely
• Be detail oriented towards all job functions as directed by supervisor or Company Management
• May be requested to work overtime including weekends
• Demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Specific Duties:
• Effectively load and unload furnace equipment as directed by Supervisor utilizing the daily production schedule
• Facilitate production grids/baskets throughout the plant for loading/unloading furnace equipment
• Take customer parts from receiving container and place in furnace baskets to maximize equipment utilization
• Return customer parts to receiving container for shipping as directed by Supervisor
• Load/unload Company trucks as directed by Supervisor
• Responsible for production tools and equipment in assigned area/s
• Fully support both the Q-Tech Heat Treat, LLC. Mission Statement and Quality Statement
• Promote safety and good housekeeping practices
• This position will allow for cross training and development of additional skills
This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:
Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform required job functions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity and other industrial environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
