Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee and streamline our production processes in the clothing industry. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and cost-efficient production of high-quality garments, while maintaining compliance with safety, ethical, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Production Planning & Coordination:
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and supply chain teams to align production with market demand.
• Team Management:
• Supervise production staff, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Provide training and mentorship to improve skills and efficiency within the team.
• Quality Control:
• Monitor production quality at every stage to ensure standards are met.
• Address quality issues promptly to minimize defects or delays.
• Resource Management:
• Manage raw materials, equipment, and human resources to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of machinery.
• Budget Management:
• Prepare and manage the production budget, focusing on cost control and efficiency.
• Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to procure materials at competitive rates.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure adherence to all industry standards, including ethical labor practices and safety regulations.
• Implement measures to minimize waste and improve sustainability.
• Problem Solving:
• Anticipate potential production issues and implement solutions proactively.
• Manage unforeseen challenges such as equipment breakdowns or material shortages.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in production management within the clothing industry.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, techniques, and machinery.
• Proficiency in production planning tools and software.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
