Job Description
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficient operations, timely delivery, and compliance with quality standards. This role involves coordinating with multiple teams, optimizing workflows, managing manpower, and ensuring that production targets are met within defined timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Allocate resources, manpower, and materials as per production requirements.
Ensure smooth workflow from raw material input to final output.
Monitor production KPIs and adjust plans to meet targets.
2. Quality Control
Ensure all products meet internal and customer-defined quality standards.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct inspections and audits.
3. Process Optimization
Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
Reduce waste, minimize downtime, and improve line efficiency.
Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and other productivity tools where applicable.
4. Team Management
Supervise, train, and support production staff.
Conduct shift planning and manage workforce attendance.
Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and company policies.
5. Inventory & Material Management
Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams for material availability.
Track inventory levels and reduce material shortages and overstock situations.
Monitor usage of raw materials and ensure minimal wastage.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and daily logs.
Share daily/weekly/monthly production performance reports with management.
Escalate delays, equipment failures, and critical issues proactively.
7. Equipment & Maintenance
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machines are in optimal condition.
Schedule preventive maintenance to avoid production downtime.
8. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure PPE usage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
Proven experience (3–7 years) in production management or similar role.
Strong understanding of production workflow and operational planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and make effective, timely decisions.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production management tools.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
