Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Head to lead the production and supply chain operations for our luxury western-wear brand. The ideal candidate will oversee both in-house sample production and outsourced manufacturing. This role requires an individual with strong industry connections, the ability to work with in-house teams to produce samples from design tech packs, and the expertise to manage the entire supply chain, vendor coordination, and sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Production Management:
• Oversee the complete production process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality garments.
• Coordinate with external manufacturers to outsource bulk production, leveraging your industry contacts.
• Ensure that in-house sampling teams can translate design tech packs into physical samples.
• Outsourcing and Vendor Management:
• Identify, onboard, and manage reliable third-party manufacturers for production.
• Negotiate contracts, costs, and timelines with vendors to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and production partners.
• Sampling Management:
• Supervise the in-house team to create samples based on design tech packs from the design department.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in sample creation, providing guidance to the team for achieving design precision.
• Supply Chain & Sourcing:
• Manage the sourcing of raw materials, trims, and fabrics, ensuring all materials meet the brand's luxury standards.
• Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement to delivery, optimizing processes for cost-effectiveness and speed.
• Vendor Coordination & Logistics:
• Manage day-to-day communication and coordination with all external partners, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to deadlines.
• Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely distribution of finished products.
• Dynamic Leadership:
• Adapt quickly to changes in design, production needs, or market demands.
• Work closely with design, marketing, and sales teams to align production timelines with brand goals.
• Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in production management, preferably in luxury westernwear or high-end fashion.
• Proven industry connections with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Expertise in managing the production process, including sampling and bulk production.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and sourcing for luxury garments.
• Ability to read and interpret design tech packs and oversee sample creation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with international vendors and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of sustainable production practices and materials.
Familiarity with ERP or production management software.
