About the Role
We’re looking for a Production Operator to join our AM Kitchen/Butchery team. This full-time role is hands-on and fast-paced, working with a range of equipment to keep production running safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll play a key part in producing the pies enjoyed by customers across New Zealand.
What You’ll Be Doing
Rotating between mincing and dicing meat, cooking pie fillings, and working in batch making
Setting up and operating production machinery and equipment
Weighing and measuring ingredients accurately
Handling food products with care and precision
Keeping work areas clean and tidy
Completing required production documentation
Supporting the wider team where needed
What You’ll Bring
Ability to lift up to 25kg regularly throughout your shift
Comfortable lifting items above shoulder height
Able to work in hot or cold environments
Experience in production or manufacturing (food industry experience is a bonus)
Previous butchery or boning experience in a commercial setting (desirable)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Good numeracy, reading, and writing skills
A team-focused attitude and willingness to learn
Experience with food safety systems such as HACCP (desirable)
Ability to stay calm under pressure while maintaining quality
