Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) team in Doddaballapura. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in EMS, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to manage production schedules, resources, and workflow to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust plans as needed to minimize delays and disruptions.
Estimate and allocate required resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, for efficient production.
Collaborate closely with production, quality control, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to standards.
Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve throughput and efficiency.
Track inventory levels and facilitate just-in-time material flow to minimize excess and shortages.
Prepare and submit regular status and performance reports to management.
Address production issues promptly and recommend viable solutions to optimize processes and reduce costs.
Implement and support LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and, when required, with customers regarding production status and changes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 2 years of production planning experience in the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry.
Proficiency in SAP ERP system is mandatory.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
Knowledge of material requirements planning, inventory management, and production scheduling best practices.
Experience with LEAN manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
