Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO, www.youthhubs.ca) is a network of 32, Integrated Youth Services (IYS) hub networks that currently operate in 40 communities, where young people ages 12 to 25 years have walk-in access to youth-centred, community-based mental health and wellness services. YWHO engages youth, family members, service providers, and other partners through a co-creation process, enhancing the relevance, acceptability and youth friendliness of services. The hubs are provincially consistent in core features and locally led and adapted to offer and connect to a range of evidence based services—mental health care, substance use health services, primary care, education, employment, housing, peer support, family support and care navigation—in youth-friendly spaces. Outcomes are rigorously evaluated within and across hubs, focusing on positive outcomes in areas of wellness important to youth and their families.

YWHO has been funded by the Ministry of Community, Children and Social Services Initiative to End Gender Based Violence in Ontario. This funding will support the co-development, implementation, and evaluation of coordinated gender-based violence (GBV) supports within our hub network. GBV is a significant public health issue and consistently associated with youth mental health, substance use, and physical health challenges. The initiative will support a new GBV role within 10 hubs; train and build capacity across sectors to recognize, prevent, and treat GBV in YWHO; establish a GBV care pathway for routine GBV screening, prevention, and early intervention; ensure youth engagement and co-design; and assess the impact of our coordinated intervention supports.

Position Description:
The YWHO Provincial Office is currently seeking two (2) full-time, contract (12 months) Program Consultant's (Integration and Implementation Specialists), Gender-Based Violence Initiative. The YWHO Integration and
Implementation Specialists will report to the YWHO Program Manager Provincial Initiatives. The Integration and Implementation Specialists will be responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of coordinated gender-based violence (GBV) supports in ten YWHO networks across

The Integration and Implementation Specialists will work closely with project partners to ensure that the care pathway is evidence-based and/or evidence-generating and meets the needs of YWHO networks, youth and family members. They will support teams at YWHO Networks with implementation and system change by providing facilitation, problem solving, focused capacity building, consensus building, decision-making and conflict resolution. The Integration and Implementation Specialists will provide coordination and planning support for the uptake of the GBV pathway and to improve its integrated service delivery processes across provincial YWHO networks.
